I saw a news story awhile back about a high school in the US that had some students that created a Facebook compliments page. It came about because of some cyber bullying issues they had. It turned out to be a really positive movement, and since then many high schools and universities around North America have taken this on. New Westminster Secondary School even has one.
I thought this would be a great thing to start at Sunnyside. I've created a weebly website where students, staff and parents can leave compliments for each other. They can leave their first name, or it can be anonymous. It will be moderated by me, and perhaps a team of students who I "hire" to take this on.
For the purpose of promoting the site, we may be posting compliments around the school, we may read some at an assembly, or we may publish some in our newsletter.
You can visit the website by clicking on the link on our menu bar on the left.
